Cycle North Carolina Coastal Ride
Based in Edenton, North Carolina. It’s a 3 day weekend ride with a variety of rides each day from 5 – 100 miles. All the routes are marked. There is camping right along Albemarle Sound and the bay in the historic district. The camping is set up like GOBA with shower trucks and porta potties. There are also some indoor camping facilities. There’s lots to do outside of biking. Guided boat rides on the bay, historic walking tours, entertainment, as well as kayak and canoe rental all sound good. There are also lots of shops and restaurants in the historic part of small town Edenton by the campground. It sounds like a great ride. Right now, the ride is capped at 1,400 riders. They are already at 1,000, so if you are interested, please go to the website and register. Just search Cycle North Carolina Coastal Ride. Last year’s ride sold out. It sounds like fun and appeals to us since it’s along the ocean with very little traffic and small towns.
All of the accommodations in town (except camping) are sold out. We booked rooms in Plymouth at the Holiday Inn Express for $89 a night. Hope some of you can join us.
