Depot Days 4 x 25 miles

Four 25 mile route options will be offered.  All routes start and end at the Oberlin Depot.  All routes offer a bathroom stop, generally near the mid-point.

This is a Map/YOYO (You’re On Your Own) ride.  There will be no designated ride leaders.  The routes are not marked and there is no SAG support.  A limited number of Route maps will be available at registration.  It is strongly recommended that you print your own.  See Oberlin maps #16, #23, #60, #66 on the club website, or click on the links below:

Birmingham 26 miles

Wellington   29 miles

Grafton        25 miles

Riders should sign in prior to riding.  Riders are also encouraged to check back in when they are finished riding for the day and to write down their mileage for the day.

The Depot will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Snacks and beverages are being purchased by the club and will be available for a donation.

3*  My plan is to do at least 75 miles, maybe 100 miles although I don't feel like I have a very good mileage base.  I will be starting from the Depot at 7:00 a.m.  If that's your pace, you're welcome to join me, whether it's for one, two, three loops or the full 100 miles.  I'll be taking a relatively short break at the Depot after each loop for restroom, snacks, etc. but may not be stopping at the rest break mid way on each loop.  I'll probably ride three of the loops and then finish out the 100 miles on the FLAT sheltered trail if I ride the full 100.  Just be ready to roll from the Depot at 7:00 a.m. if you wish to ride with me.

 A rainy day could shorten ride plans!

Would anyone who rides at a 3/3-* pace like to start a little later Saturday?  I favor a 9:00 start and won't do more than 2 loops. Let me know Friday if you're willing to ride with me.

One star riders: If the weather is good, I’ll be at the Depot for Depot Days around 9:25 and plan on riding the trail.  Hopefully getting in 25+ miles.  Anyone who wants to join me is welcome.  I ride around 10 – 12 mph unless I have a tail wind or am going downhill!!!  I plan on going this pace Saturday since I have to get home for the grand kids, so have a limited time to ride.  Cheryl B
