All* Ride the Dog, Lagrange Community Park

  • Saturday, July 08, 2017
  • 7:00 AM
  • 424 West Main St. LaGrange, OH 44050

Saturday will be the annual "Ride The Dog" event. Starting point for the Club ride(s) is the Lagrange Community Park, on the south side of SR 303, 1/2 mile west of the traffic circle. This will be an opportunity for Club members to ride the routes for our annual invitational ride " Dog Days Wine Tour". Please understand that this is basically an unsupported map ride with no real services or leaders.

Additional information will be posted here as it becomes available.

I plan to ride the 65 mile loop at a 3 star pace, leaving from LaGrange Community Park at 8 a.m.  If you care to join me you can email me or just show up ready to ride.  We’ll make snack and restroom stops along the way as the route dictates (it appears that Wakeman at 26 miles would be the earliest).

For those interested there will be a group of riders who plan to ride the 125 mile route.  We plan to start our journey no later than 6:00 AM ( visibility permitting). We plan to maintain a steady yet conservative 4* pace, possibly 4+ especially in the cool morning hours. Hope you can join us

If any one is interested I will be riding a 1*. The route will be only 16 to 20 miles. The route is Leave LaGrange park to route 303 to Whitehead to Parsons and break at McDonalds. We will return the way we came only reverse.

I will be leaving at 9:00am. All are welcome to ride with me. Hope to see some riders.

Eleanor and I are planning to ride the 45 mile loop, perhaps more depending on how we feel after 45 , at a 2, 2*+  pace at 8 a.m. to take advantage of the early morning calm. We would enjoy your company if you would care to ride with us with lunch at a local eatery when we are finished with the ride.

There is a group forming that will begin at 7:00 a.m. Riding the 65 mile loop at a 3* pace.
Please join us!

I am planning on leaving at 6:30 to do the Century 100 mile route.  My average pace will be a moderate 4 star, with multiple stops.   At mile 71 when I hit the intersection of Parsons and Whitehead, I may decide to cut it short if weather is bad and ride the 4 miles back south to LaGrange for a 75 mile ride or I may keep riding to Jilbert if the conditions are good.
If anyone wants to ride along, look for me at the park.
Rob
