Trail, Town, and Frank Lloyd Wright House
NOTE the earlier than usual 1 p.m. start time.
We'll ride 10-12 miles on the trail first, take a rest break at the ACE/Gasholder parking lot, and then ride approx. 10 miles in Oberlin neighborhoods, stopping at the Frank Lloyd Wright house on Morgan St. towards the end of the ride. The FLW house is open for tours ONLY the first Sunday of each month, which is the 3rd of June. Here's the deal … it requires advance action on your part if you wish to participate in the tour.
Tour cost is $5.00 payable at the door. You MUST register on-line in advance. Tour times are noon, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Register for the 4:00 p.m. tour if you wish to ride with the 1* group to participate in this tour at the end. There is a limit of 50 people per tour time … these tours fill up fast. Registration opens about 3 weeks prior to the tour date, so June 3 registration should be opening May 13 or shortly after! Several weeks ago, I signed up to receive e-mail notification when the registration opens for the June 3 tours. I haven't yet been notified that registration is open.
If you have no interest in the house tour but wish to participate in my 1* ride, that's fine. Our ride will arrive a little bit prior to 4:00 p.m. at the FLW house and you can see it from the outside. I'll give you some brief info about the house and it's history, then the ride sweep will lead you back to the ACE parking lot to conclude your ride. I will be touring the house with anyone else who is interested.
If you register for the 4:00 p.m. tour and plan to ride also, please let me know in advance.

5/21/18 UPDATE:
SORRY... All tour times for the FLW house on June 3 are FULL. It appeared that all tour times were booked full in less than 12 hours! I didn't even get a ticket reserved for myself. I have only heard from 3 Silver Wheelers who were able to make reservations. I will still be stopping at the FLW house as a point of interest and will talk about it for 5-10 minutes outside the house with other riders.
