Right now, we’re in the planning stages and need to line up members to assist with the following:
Additional ride leaders are welcome to plan and lead + or – levels of any of the ride paces.
The Plan:
9:00 a.m. Oberlin Depot open for food drop off.
9:30 a.m. Group photo in front of Depot
9:45 a.m. (Approx.) Costumed riders will roll through a 2.5 mile course on Oberlin streets at a 1* pace. We’ll ride on a portion of the Oberlin Halloween Parade route on Pleasant St. and College St. prior to the community parade step-off time of 10:00 a.m. from Eastwoood School on East College Street. Upon return to the Depot, you may wish to remove part(s) of your costume prior to the 10:00 a.m. pace rides.
10:00 a.m. (Approx.) Pace level rides will start from the Depot. Ride leaders need to plan rides that will be back to the Depot by noon.
Noon Soup and potluck. If you’re not bringing a pot of soup, you’re welcome to bring other food to share (not required) such as crackers, muffins, salads, desserts, or snacks. Left over Halloween candy from the CURRENT year is acceptable.
Level Leader Miles Comment
1* Bouch Trail
2* Stout
3* P. Doheny 25 3* Route
(route can be easily shortened as needed)
4* Edmundson 29 4* Route
Not riding? Bring a table game and just socialize. Snacks can be enjoyed during the game playing, but the meal will not be served until noon.
If you bring your own reusable table service, you’ll be entered in a drawing for something good!
Registration, while not required, is appreciated and helps keep the planning simple - and we like simple.
Contact either of us directly if you wish to volunteer to lead a ride, or have questions.
