Ride to Wellington with a stop at "The Moving Wall", the traveling half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. We'll make a 10-15 min. stop at The Wall, which was began in 1983 and completed in 1984. The traveling wall was built by John Devitt, Gerry Haver, and Norris Shears, Vietnam Veterans from California. It now tours the country and is in Wellington through Monday when it closes at 4:00 p.m. Guides will be there to look up names, and give you panel/line information to help you find a specific name. Special "crayons" and paper are provided if you with to do a rubbing of a name. Porta-potties are available at the Union School Park where the wall is on display.
Our route is relatively flat heading south, but we will be returning on Pitts Rd. which will give you some hills!
