Fall Farm Tour Ride

Parking at LC MetroParks Wellington Reservation:  Please park in the gravel lot which is off the paved lot.

This ride will visit the Lorain County Fall Farm Tour stops.  The tour is an annual fall event planned by Lorain Co. Farm Bureau to highlight various agricultural enterprises in the county.  The first loop will be approximately 29 miles and we'll be stopping at Pitts Family Beef & Grain Farm (Rt. 58 & Jones Rd.), Bonnie Brae Elk Farm (Quarry Rd., Wellington) and Hooks Greenhouse (Rt. 18 Wellington).  At the end of that loop we'll return to Wellington Reservation where you can end your ride, and pick up any of your purchases from our sag driver, Etta Rowe.  Hooks Greenhouse and the Elk Farm will have items for purchase … elk horn dog chews, crafts, pumpkins, fall squash, goards, corn stalks, fall flowers, etc.  Then for those who would like to ride farther, we'll continue north east to the fourth tour stop at Elan Equine (Peck Wadsworth, Wellington). 

The longer first route heading south and north has some big hills and lots of rollers.  Also, we'll be riding on busy Rt. 18 for a couple miles.  Thus, this route is for experienced riders.  Our overall pace will probably be in the 3- range.  Plan to spend 10-15 minutes at each tour stop.
