Star Chase
The groups will ride the same route. Unlike a typical club ride, the leader of the faster group will not slow down to accommodate folks unable to maintain the pace, dropping them to be picked up by the trailing group. The trailing group will leave no rider behind.
In 2012, this ride was named Ohio’s Best Route by Bicycling.com
Toilet opportunities are very limited. There are no facilities at the Trailhead so plan your comfort stop accordingly as you exit the highway. There is a potential porta-potty stop at mile 29. Our lunch stop in Jefferson is at mile 35 and that may be your first and only restroom on the route. Bring plenty of water and snacks!
Since we will all be driving across town during rush hour give yourself enough time for travel and bathroom stop. If you run into problems or have questions about the ride feel free to call Peggy 216-533-9708 or Susan 440-503-2034
It the weather looks unfavorable we will cancel Thursday night and send out blast email and will have the website updated.
Munson Hill Station is located off of Old Austinburg Road, just south of the intersection of Munson Hill Road and Ashtabula- Austinburg Road in Saybrook Township. After you turn onto Austinburg from Center Road,(SR 45), your turn onto Old Austinburg is about 1.2 miles on your right. There is a large church that has a Western Reserve Greenway sign in front of to, but you need to continue straight further down the road to Old Austinburg Road.
