This ride is a star chase. 

The choose your group.  The faster group will leave first, followed by the slow group using the same route.  Unlike a typical club ride, the leader of the faster group will not slow the pace for riders unable to keep up, instead dropping them to be picked up by the trailing group.  The trailing group will leave no rider behind.
