"BOO-THRU" Bike Ride

At the start of this ride out of Carlisle Visitor Center, we'll take a little detour to ride through the LCMP Equestrian Center and exit on Hastings Road to Hale Road, back to Parsons and join the RWGPS route.  (This "detour" part of the ride is not on the RWGPS cue sheet.)  The ride through the Equestrian Center will be very leisurely as you check out the skeletons and ghostly figures hanging from the trees along the long drive.  Lots of other Halloween decorations to see also.  It's decorated and ready for the Lorain County Metro Parks "Boo-Thru" which will be the following two weekends.  The "Boo-Thru" is a vehicle drive through with advance registration and a fee of $10 per car when darkness sets in.  Just riding through on our bikes on Wednesday, most of the decorations should be in place, but of course the decorations won't be spotlighted and lit up.  If you're interested in driving through in a vehicle on one of the "Boo-Thru" weekends, check out the Lorain County Metro Parks website for more information and to register and pay.
