We'll ride past the Bonnie Brae Elk Farm in southern Lorain County.  The farm is not having any open house weekends for visitors this fall due to Covid-19 precautions.  If we're lucky perhaps we'll see some elk in the pastures adjacent to the road.  Last year on an October ride we got a magnificent view of a bull elk "prancing" back and forth on a hill in the pasture, silhouetted against the sky.  This is the time of year when the male elk do their bugling to attract the females.  There will be one pit stop in Rochester Community Park at approx. 18 miles. Bring your own snacks and water as there will not be anywhere to purchase these items. Some hills on this ride with 545 ft. of elevation change.  This ride will be a star chase so that a rider can drop back to a lower pace group, with the 2* group riding as a "no drop" group.  Park in the boat launch parking lot.

Star Chase - This ride is a star chase, where all rides use the same route.  Unlike a typical Club ride, the leaders of the faster groups will not slow the pace to accommodate rider(s) unable to keep up, leaving them to be picked up by the trailing group.  The trailing group will leave no rider behind.
