Explore Tremont, Flats and NFL Draft Venue
Where: Clark Field (Between Tremont and Steel yard Commons on the trail – Porta potties are available)
Listed as a 2+* because there are some hills coming out of the valley.
Mileage: Around 15 miles with option to extend at end to Rockside road for a total of 30 miles
Plan: We do not know what roads will be open – but fear not – PJ is familiar with the area and will be our tour guide. We will initially ride north through the Tremont area and check out the bike trail updates around Sokolowski and then head into the flats and meander around the flats to see how the new trail bridge is coming along and ending up at the RR hall of fame and stadium areas and see what there might be to see re: the NFL draft activities. Then we will head back and can add more miles after Clark Field going south towards Rockside. It will be a touring type ride with some hills as we climb out of the flats. We have no idea what roads may be open or closed to bike traffic so we need to be flexible (Many roads are closed to cars in Cleveland because of the draft) – but it will be fun.
(NOTE: ROUTE SUBJECT TO ENROUTE CHANGES DUE TO DRAFT DAY ROAD CLOSURES)
Due to the route uncertainty there will be no map/cue sheet. Pay attention and keep up - we have not lost anyone recently and do not intend to start now.
