A club swap meet will be held just prior to the Thursday, July 15th club membership meeting at Carlisle Visitor Center.
5:00-5:30 p.m. Set up time for members selling items
5:30-6:45 p.m. Swap meet open for sales
6:45-7:00 p.m. Sellers pack up their unsold items
7:00 p.m. Membership meeting
It has been TWO YEARS since our last club swap meet. Here’s your opportunity to sell bike items you no longer need or to get some nice deals on things you do need. Items can be anything bike related: Bike clothing, bike accessories, parts & pieces, bikes, bike tools, tires, tubes, bicycle themed decorative items, books/manuals with a bike theme, bicycle puzzles, gear for bike camping, etc. Dig out those jerseys that don’t fit anymore, the tubes for a tire size you no longer have on any bike, bike bags you no longer use. Come with cash for buying!
Sellers must be members of Silver Wheels.
Sellers must “register” with Dennis Stout so that the committee can hopefully plan for set up and space needs. Contact Dennis at dbstout@windstream.net by July 3rd if you plan to sell items.
Sellers price their own goods, collect their own money from sales, bring their own petty cash for making change.
There will be tables set up around the perimeter of the Black River Room. Table space for sellers is first come, first served.
At the end of the swap meet time, sellers pack up their unsold goods to take back home, or can donate items to the Elyria Bicycle Education Center, or to Bay Village Bike Co-op. The committee will have boxes for depositing donated items to either of these bike entities.
If you are a Silver Wheels member and aren’t selling items, but simply wish to bring bike items to donate, that’s great too!
We may have some club merchandise there for sale also.
