Care and feeding of your bike. This class covers the basics of how to take care of your bike, your wallet, and your personal safety. What to lubricate, what to lubricate it with, and what never to lubricate will be clearly shown. Yes, lubricating parts or lubricating them with the wrong lube can create disastrous results maybe resulting in $$$$$ repairs. How to avoid expensive repairs from parts wearing out prematurely, finding maddening squeaks and creaks and how to fix them, how to remove and reinstall wheels on your bike, and how to keep your bike looking & working great for many years are just some of the topics that will be covered.
Why? Because if you’re a beginning cyclist, or even if you have been riding for years, you’ll greatly benefit from this class. Ask some SWCC members who’ve taken it.

Advisory! I’ve been teaching these classes for more than a few years & historically they fill up very quickly. Having a class filled the first day of this notice is mailed is not unusual. ACT NOW! Registration is strictly a 1st come; 1st served basis. Emails come with a time stamp which allows me to see who requested a place in the class in chronological order.
Payment is due the evening of the class. The money is used to reimburse me for materials used in the class. Please note that no credit cards, chickens, pigs, or vegetables will be accepted. As always, if you're a little hard up for cash I still offer my 90 days, same as cash option. After that, interest will compound daily at the rate of 403%.

About the teacher: Larry Best is a retired high school teacher who has 56 years & about 150,000 miles of cycling experience. He is a former racer, club rider, has done long distance tours, and has worked as a mechanic in cycle shops. He is also a League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructor, & a long-time member of Silver Wheels Cycling Club.
