Fall Farm Tour

This ride is a Star Chase , where two or more rides of adjacent levels will be using the same route.  Unlike a typical club ride, the leader(s) will not slow down to accommodate lagging riders, instead leaving them to be picked up by a trailing group.  The lowest participating level will leave no one behind.  The easiest way to "drop back" is to just wait for the trailing group at a tour stop.

The annual Fall Farm Tour sponsored by Lorain County Farm Bureau is on Sept. 24.  I've planned a bike ride to go to the five tour stops, starting from Findley State Park at noon. The majority of the ride is on quiet country roads in southern Lorain County, with some hills and rollers.  

The rides start from the Beach House parking lot at Findley State Park. (Enter the park and then take a left - north - to reach the Beach House lot on your right.

Ride Leaders:  This is a 27 mile route.  The route has approx. 600 ft. of elevation change.  I will be leading at a 3- pace, and Randy Lottman will lead a 2* group in a star chase.  I would welcome additional ride leaders to offer a 3+ or 4* pace.  Etta Rowe has again volunteered to be our "sag driver" to follow us to each stop and pick up any purchases, transporting items back to Findley State Park.  If you are on the "injured reserve" list or just not up to riding the distance, paces offered, or hills, Etta would welcome you as a passenger in her van.  (If interested, give her a call at 440/7743210).  Recognize that this is a leisurely ride with a 15-20 min. stop at each tour point of interest.
